Las Vegas, NV – While Social Security is the bedrock of financial security for most Nevadans, it is especially important for Latinos. A recent AARP survey found that over 4 in 10 Hispanic voters are dissatisfied with their retirement savings and are also worried or concerned about achieving their economic and financial goals over the next five years.
Its importance is why AARP Nevada is hosting a policy discussion TOMORROW, JUNE 16, 2016, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Cashman Center in Las Vegas on Social Security and Latinos. Experts from AARP Nevada, Latin Chamber of Commerce, Nevada, Heritage Foundation and National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare will discuss some of the challenges facing Social Security and offer balanced information about the options on the table in Washington and on the campaign trail.
NOTE: AARP staff will be available for interviews in English and Spanish before and after the event. Other speakers may be available as well.
