PR Newswire

VIENNA, Va., June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearForce LLC is pleased to announce that its continuous insider risk management application meets the new Defense Security Service (DSS) requirement for implementing a threat information program that gathers, integrates and reports on relevant information indicative of a potential or actual insider threat. Cleared contractors must self-certify compliance with the new requirements by November 18, 2016.

Specifically, Change 2 to DoD 5220.22-M, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) was released on May 18, 2016.  The update includes several new cybersecurity tracking and reporting requirements, including the identification of an Insider Threat Program Manager and cybersecurity training for cleared employees.

On May 25, 2016, The Defense Security Service (DSS) released Industrial Security Letter (ISL) 2016-02, "Insider Threat" with guidance for insider threat program implementation. DSS has posted a variety of tools and checklists that cleared contractors can use to develop and implement their programs at http://www.dss.mil/it/index.html

ClearForce synthesizes external regulated data with proprietary internal data to provide a holistic behavioral view of employees and contractors across the enterprise. The application includes legally compliant workflows to identify and prioritize risks, support investigation, and allow organizations to take action to prevent potential risks from turning into threats in the form of cybercrime, theft, fraud, or workplace violence.

The cloud-based Software-as-a-Service solution delivers cyber protection by identifying employees, vendors and contractors who represent potential risks to the enterprise.  "ClearForce is the first of a new breed of applications that moves the organization from a reactive view of cyber threats to one that proactively addresses the full insider risk life cycle," says James L. Jones III, president and CEO of ClearForce.

Continues Jones, "Every defense contractor should take advantage of ClearForce.  The application can be up and running quickly and with minimal effort.  Contractors can remained focused on their core business while offering layered protection to employees and the company."
