One was held at Reed Creek Park in Charlotte and the other at Pullen Park in Raleigh. Kindergarten students will advance to the next grade level after completing the 2015-2016 school year at NCVA, which is an education option available to K–11th grade students who reside anywhere in North Carolina. "We're excited to see our first kindergarten class move on to the next step," said Joel Medley, Head of School at North Carolina Virtual Academy. "At this early grade level, NCVA parents are highly involved with their students' education, so we thank them along with our excellent teachers for working together on a daily basis to provide our young learners with an individualized education plan." In addition to celebrating the kindergarten graduates, NCVA also marked its first full year of operation. At NCVA, students' individual learning styles are recognized, and the curriculum is flexible, so they can move at their own pace and explore more of what interests them. With more than 700 lessons per subject available in the K–8 course offerings, students can dive deeply into areas of interest – which is especially beneficial for advanced learners seeking to move more quickly than they would be able to in a traditional classroom.
